Lithium chloride is an inorganic substance, is a white crystal, with delixing properties. Salty, soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, pyridine and other organic solvents, insoluble in ether. The aqueous solution is neutral or slightly alkaline. Lithium chloride is mainly used in the field of air conditioning, as a flux, desiccant, chemical reagents, and used in fireworks, dry batteries and lithium metal. Electrolysis of anhydrous lithium chloride can produce lithium metal and chlorine gas. Lithium chloride can be used as raw material for lithium metal. Electrolytic preparation of metal flux (such as titanium and aluminum production), used as aluminum welding agent, air conditioning dehumidifier and special cement raw materials, but also used in flame, in the battery industry for the production of lithium manganese battery electrolyte.
